AVG's new business security products offer protection to small and medium sized businesses with monitoring of all business aspects, from online transactions and email communications to customer data handling.

2 products are available - AVG Internet Security 2011 Business edition provides online threat protection and AVG Anti-Virus 2011 Business Edition adds network protection.

Both are based on AVG's People Powered Protection design model, incorporating feedback from over 110 million users.

The company says the new security software is designed to be easy to administrate as well as powerful.

WHDI Streaming Through a Stick

Amimon reveals its WHDI Stick pair, a small HD transmitter and a receiver. Once the transmitter is plugged into the PC, it transmits to either receiver (plugged into TV's HDMI port) or to any WHDI enabled set.

Amimon says the device is the smallest WHDI compliant product to date.

WHDI security and HDCP 2.0 copy protection allow users to stream copy-protected content from their PCs,in uncompressed 1080p/60Hz HD with less than 1 millisecond latency.

The stick will hit the market in 2011.

Dixons Goes for Own-Brand Tablets

The Advent line is Dixon's own-brand tablet range. The two models announced are both Android powered and aim for the mass market.

The Advent Amico is a basic model with 7" inch touch screen, wifi and camera.

The Avent Vega adds a multi-touch 10" screen, nVidia Tegra 2 processor and 4GB SD memory card.

Dixons will launch its tablet line from Nov 1st.

Media-Saturn Increases Focus on Exclusive Brands

Media-Saturn Group brings its own-brand line preparations to a close, just in time for the Christmas Season. The line-up consists of four brand names covering entry-level price segments to higher quality appliances.

Media-Saturn own-brands

The brands will launch in Media-Markt and Saturn stores in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and Austria before expanding to the other 12 European countries currently having company stores.

Ok. and Koenic are the first two brands to launch right before the Christmas shopping season.

Ok. is the entry-level price segment brand and concentrates on easy to use devices described as "ok" by the Media-Saturn itself. These include household appliances, telephones and LCD TVs.

The Koenic brand covers household and domestic appliances.

Launching in 2011 are Peaq (CE) and Isy (accessories).
