A VirtualLink Connector for VR Hardware

Next generation VR headsets needs a different kind of connection standard, the industry declares. Enter the VirtualLink standard, a USB-C alternate mode able to provide all necessary power and data through a single Type-C cable and connector.

VirtualLink is developed by a newly formed industry consortium bringing together big names including Nvidia, AMD, Oculus, Valve and Microsoft. Summer Shipping for Developer Magic Leap Headset

A developer-focused Twitch stream reveals some details on the first headset from mystery AR/VR startup Magic Leap, including some measure of technical specifications and a launch window.

Details are still sparse, but the company revealed the One headset runs on the Nvidia Tegra X2-- a mobile chipset both powerful and power-efficient allowing to device to run slim hip pack with a design reminiscent of a Sony Discman. SNK Shrinks Neo Geo Arcade Machine

SNK is the next company to take on the mini retro games console trend, if with a twist-- the Neo Geo Mini is a miniature version of the Japanese company's iconic arcade machines complete with built-in display.

The Neo Geo Mini is shrunken down version of the Neo Geo Multi Video System (MVS). Launched in 1990, the MVS allowed arcade owners to have different games on the same arcade cabinet by simply swapping out the games cartridge inside. Like the original, the Neo Geo Mini has a stubby joystick and four buttons, only measuring 135 x 108 x 162mm and weighing 600g.
