The AMD-Powered ECS Mini-PC

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) announces the SF110-A320-- a mini-PC featuring a chassis reminiscent of the PlayStation 2 packing an AM4  motherboard and a choice of 35W AMD Ryzen APU.

The SF110-A320 measures 205 x 176 x 33mm, making for a 1-litre VESA-mountable device. As the name suggests, the machine carries an A320-based AM4 motherboard, and supports both Ryzen 3 and 5 APUs sticking with a 35W envelope. As such, customers can add the quad-core Ryzen 3 2200GE or Ryzen 5 2400GE, and possibly the more recent dual-core Athlon 200GE, 220GE and 240GE CPUs (although ECS does not mention Athlon CPU support).

Sharp Presents AiO PC With 8K Display

Sharp shows the press a number of upcoming technologies at its Tokyo HQ-- including a Dynabook-branded All-in-One (AiO) PC featuring a 31.5-inch IGZO display able to handle resolutions reaching up to 8K.

As Japanese news site PC Watch reports, while the Dynabook AiO is currently in prototype form it is set to become an actual commercial product. In addition, the display will be available separately for use with other PCs. Details of the actual machine are scant, but Sharp claims it has enough horsepower (and what it calls "AI-optimised screen division technology) to push 7680 x 4320 resolution images with 120Hz refresh.

Acer Presents ConceptD PC Portfolio

Acer aims at both professional and amateur creators with the announcement of ConceptD-- a portfolio of premium desktops, notebooks and a mixed reality headset promising "timeless design language" and "extremely" colour-accurate displays.

“The ConceptD product portfolio was conceived to give creators the tools to focus on the creative process and make beautiful things,” Acer says. “As the foundation of a full line of creator products, we’ve designed PCs with high-performance processors and graphics that can handle extreme workloads, and put them inside quiet, minimalist designs to inspire creators to unleash their creativity.”

Cooler Master Intros MasterBox Q500L Chassis

PC component maker Cooler Master announces  a "deceptively small" case-- the MasterBox Q500L, a case able to fit both a standard ATX motherboard and ATX power supply within a compact design.

The MasterBox Q500L measures 386 x 230 x 381mm, with an unpopulated mass of 3.83kg, yet can fit graphics cards of up to 360mm even with an ATX power supply. In total it supports up to 7 slots, fitting up to four 2.5-inch devices in two combo bays, one 120mm rear fan (included), two 120 or 140mm fans in the top (or up to 240mm radiator with 35mm depth) and two 120mm fans in the bottom. CPU cand PSU clearance are 160 and 180mm respectively.

Console-Style PC Gaming via Sentry 2.0 Chassis

Polish industrial hardware maker Dr Zaber takes to crowdfunding to present a console-style PC chassis-- the Sentry 2.0, a case the company claims fits mid-range and high-end components despite a small form factor.

Described as "the world's first truly console-sized gaming PC chassis," the Sentry 2.0 is 7 litre volume case designed around a standard mini-ITX motherboard. It fits off-the-shelf components, including dual-slot full-length (305mm) GPUs, 120mm AiO coolers (or 47mm tall air coolers for the CPU) and standard SFX PSUs. it should also fit up to x4 2.5-inch SSDs, standard profile memory DIMMs and a two-pice rigid PCB PCIe riser for the GPU.
