Asus announces its line of ultra-portable Ultrabook laptops-- Zenbooks, with five models (x2 UX21 configurations and x3 UX31 models) unveiled in a glitzy event with chairman Johnney Shih as host.
Available in two screen sizes (11.6" and 13.3") and 3mm thick at their thinnest points, the Asus Zenbooks come in an alumium alloy body with a glass trackpad and all-metal keyboard-- making them two of the best looking Ultrabooks around.
Specifications include low-voltage Core i5 and i7 processors, 4GB of RAM, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, SATA III SSD (in 128GB or 256GB) and Bang and Olufsen stereo speakers.
Asus claims the Zenbooks have 2-second resume times and battery lives of either 5 (for the UX 21) or 7 (UX 31) hours on a charge, with standby times of up to 2 weeks.
The company will also include a free sleeve in the package, which is always nice.
