Sony announces its take on the tablet market with 2 Android-powered devices-- codnamed "S1" and "S2".
The S1 looks like a fairly standard tablet, with a 9.4" display and wedge-shaped case Sony says is an "off-center of gravity design" that's supposedly more stable and comfortable for users to hold.
The S2 looks more interesting-- with a closable clamshell design with x2 5.5" displays, which can either act as a single large screen or each display different content.
Both models' innards seem to be identical, even if the only details available include Android 3.0, wifi and optional 3G or 4G. Aiming for Sony customers, the tablets can also act as remotes for Bravia devices and share media via DLNA with compatible devices.
The tablets will launch with Sony's Qriocity service (media), Reader Store (ebooks) and the Playstation Suite (games).
