The Adata XPG gaming division launches a high-performance DRAM line-- the Spectrix D50, offering kits of up to 32GB capacity with subtle RGB lighting within heat spreader with an angular geometric design.
Spectrix D50 kits will be available in single 8GB modules and 2 x 8GB (16GB) up to DDR4-133, as well as single 16GB modules and 2 x 16GB (32GB) kits at up to DDR4-3600. Kits vary in latency, from CL16 on the DDR4-300 and DDR4-3200 kits to CL18 on the DDR4-3600 kits. Operating voltage for each kit reaches 1.35V, with exception of the higher-speed DDR4-4133 CL19 kits running at an operating voltage of 1.4V. All kits support the latest Intel and AMD platforms through integrated XMP 2.0 profiles.
A triangular RGB panel peeks out of the 2mm thick heatsink, and is controllable via XPG RGB Sync app. In addition, XPG says the lighting is compatible with lighting control software from "major" motherboard makers, but it fails to specify any names. Through the software customers can customise the lighting with three presets, with a choice of static, breating, comet or synched to music.
All XPG Spectrix D50 kits from DDR4-3000 to DDR4-4133 are shipping now. Higher capacity 32GB modules and faster DDR4-4600/DDR4-4800 kits will be available in Q2 2020.
