Corsair announces the Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE, a pair of headsets the company claims bridge the gap between gaming and hi-fi headphones with 50mm neodymium drivers pushing audio in the 20Hz-40000Hz frequency range.

Available in black, white or gunmetal (SE only), the Virtuoso headsets include memory phone on both the earpads and headband for all-day, all-night use. Connectivity comes through either Slipstream wireless technology offering up to 12m range, USB for 24-bit/96kHz audio and immersive 7.1 surround sound, or 3.5mm audio jack for the compatibility with the widest range of devices.

The company says the detachable microphone is also high-end, being an omni-directional "broadcast-grade" number with up to 10000 frequency response, double that of typical wireless gaming headsets. It is also Discord-certified, and promises to ensure clear communications. Powering the headset is an integrated battery providing up to 20 hours of wireless use. A smart-wake function reserves power when the headset is put down, and automatically turns on when picked up.

The SE model offers several enhancements over the regular model-- the microphone element is larger at 9.5mm, the headset has additional aluminium trim and micro-perforation on the ear cups allows the RGB lighting to shine through. Speaking of the lighting, customers can control and synchronise it with compatible components using Corsair iCue software.

The Viruoso RGB Wireless and SE variant are available now.
