The aforementioned controller allows for features including 8 NAND channels, PCIe 3.0 x4 and NVMe 1.3, among others. The drive is built using 3D TLC NAND, and offers performance clocking at 3.5GB/s in sequential read and 3GB/s in sequential write. Random performance totals 300L/240K in random read/write, while IOPS is at 4K.

The XPG SX8100 includes data protection and correction technologies Adata says increase TBW (total bytes written), such as LPDC (low-density parity-check) error correcting code technology able to detect and fix a wide range of data errors. Meanwhile E2E (End-to-End) data protection and RAID Engine boost the security, integrity and durability of the device. Adata also adds a 5-year warranty with a 2 million hour MTBF rating.

Adata is still to announce when the XPG SX8100 hits the market.
