Dell presents a massive gaming monitor flagship at Gamescom 2019-- the Alienware 55 (model AW5520QF), a 55-inch number featuring a 4K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync variable refresh technology support.
The Alienware 55 offers a 3840 x 2160 resolution, together with 400 nits peak brightness, 130000:1 contrast ratio and 0.5ms gray to gray response time. It can reproduce 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, making it comparable to professional LCD displays, and includes an anti-reflective coating with 2H hardness for additional clarity in brightly lit conditions.
Connectivity comes via x3 HDMI 2.0 inputs and x1 DisplayPort 1.4 connector, as well as a quad-port USB 3.1 Gen 1 hub, headphone output and S/PDIF line out. A pait of Wave Maxx Audio-designed 14W speaker provides audio, while an included remote control allows users to adjust brightness, regulate audio and other such operations. A VESA rear mount adapter allows customers to mount the monitor on a wall or compatible 3rd party stand.
The Alienware 55 ships from September 2019.
