Alphacool launches the Eisball, a digital RGB reservoir/pump combo the company claims is "the world's first reservoir shaped as a ball" promising to be both tough and quiet, as well as a striking appearance.
First launched back at CES 2019, the Eisball features a ball-shaped 700ml made of the same tough transparent nylon as the Eisblock XPX CPU cooler series. It doubles as a pump top, and is compatible with all VPP and Laing D5 pumps. In case the customer does not have a pump, Alphacool offers a pump bundle option. A chrome circumference ring features 22 addressable RGB lights, as one might expect from a piece of gaming hardware.
The Eisball offers multiple mounting possibilities. The package includes two mounting plates, one fitting in standard fan mount areas and the other attaching to a 2.5-inch HDD mount. In addition, a Velcro mount allows for flexible case positioning. Alphacool says the pump inside the Eisball is almost entirely surrounded by water, dampening pump noise and vibration, and special decouplers in the mounting further minimise transferred vibrations.
