ADATA announces a 2TB version of the XPG SX8200 Pro PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2-2280 SSD, a version of the Gammix S11 Pro SSD lacking an aluminium heat spreader, allowing use in laptops.
Based on the Silicon Motion SM2262EN controller and powered by Micron 3D TLC NAND, the SX8200 promises sequential read speeds of up to 3.5GB/s and sequential write speeds of 3GB/s with the use of pSLC caching (data based on CDM benchmark). It also offers up to 360000 random read/write 4K IOPS, and is rated for 1280TB over a 5-year warranty period.
Further features include NVMe 1.3 support, SLC caching, DRAM Cache buffer, E2E Data Protection, RAID Engine and LDPC ECC, allowing for high speeds and data integrity even during intensive applications such as gaming and overclocking. The compact M.2 2280 form factor makes it ideal for both gaming and high-end desktops.
