Manhattan launches the T3-R-- a 4K-enabled Freeview Play Smart PVR offering the on-demand functionality as a high-end pay-TV box, only without the need for an ongoing contract.
The T3-R carries 500GB of storage, and allows customers to record and live pause 85 channels of Freeview TV. They can also browse catch-up TV players, such as iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5, among others. Manhattan says the PVR can record no less than 300 hours of recordings, and users can record 2 programs simultaneously or an entire series at the touch of a button.
Also included in the PVR is YouTube functionality. Connectivity comes via wifi, while a Learning Remote provides volume, power and input selection control.
The T3-R is available by end July 2019, with a 1TB version to follow on August 2019.
