Logitech uses 2018 acquisition Blue Microphones to create the G Pro X-- a wired headset aimed at gamer customers making frequent use of voice communications the company describes as a pro-grade audio device.
The Pro X headset features Blue VO!CE, a suite of microphone effects enabling "clean, professional voice communication." Users can tune their voice according to individual preferences using an integrated recording and playback function and, in case they want even deeper customisation, a full set of "pro-grade" effects, including a compresser, de-esser and de-popper.
The headset also promises to be comfortable, even after long hours. Construction is in aluminium and steel, and includes soft memory foam earpads and a leatherette-wrapped headband. Inside are Logitech Pro-G 50mm audio drivers, and DTS Headphone X 2.0 surround sound support allows for 3D audio environment simulation.
The Pro X Headset is available from July 2019.
