The flagship Microsoft Store in Oxford Circus, London-- specifically at the Regent Street - Oxford Street junction, just metres away from the Apple Regent Street store-- gets an 11 July opening date.
The retail location covers 2037 square metres over three floors, and will allow customers to check out the latest technology, products and services from Microsoft and partners. Immersive video walls form zones where customers can get hands-on with products such as Surface, Windows Office, Xbox and PC gaming, HoloLens mixed-reality and more, while an Answer Desk provides tech support. Interestingly, Microsoft insists it will offer repair services for any PC product, regardless of brand, OS or retailer.
“A flagship store in London has long been part of our vision for our physical and digital store presence," the company says. "This opening represents another step in our journey to meet our customers-- from consumers to businesses-- wherever they are and deepen our connection with them. London is one of the world’s most exciting shopping destinations, and we look forward to empowering customers to explore all that is possible with Microsoft.”
The London store is a first for Microsoft, even if it already has flagship stores in New York and Sydney. It also has retail locations in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
