Dutch PC accessory maker Club 3D announces a pair of 2.5 GbE dongles, one featuring a USB-A interface and the other USB-C, allowing customers to add wired ethernet to PCs lacking an internal GbE controller.
The CAC-1420 (USB-A to 2.5 GbE) and CAC-1520 (USB-C to 2.5 GbE) are exactly what it says on the tin. They feature an RJ-45 connector on one side and a USB 3.1 interface on the other, and are compatible with Windows 8/10 PCs and Macs running on OS X 10.6 to 10.14. Being USB-powered no external power adapter is required.
The adapters support 10M/100M/1G/2.5G bandwidth, with twisted pair crossover detection and auto-correction.
Club 3D is still to announce when the adapters will hit the market.
