Cooler Master launches the MasterAir MA621P TR4 Edition-- an air cooler designed for use with AMD Ryzen Threadripper CPUs, with multiple heat pipes, up to x3 fans and, of course, addressable RGB lighting.
The MasterAir MA621P TR4 Edition is based around a dual-tower heatsink featuring aluminium fins. It is mounted on 7 heat pipes, with 6 in direct contact with IHS of the Threadripper processor. By default the cooler includes two 120mm MF120R RGB fans (each spinning at up to 1800 RPM), but customers can install one more fan to further improve performance. Cooler Master does not specify a TDP rating, but it should reach at least 250W if it is to cool big Threadripper CPUs.
Being a sizable device, with height reaching up to 164.5mm, customers need to ensure the chassis has plenty of space for the cooler. After all, the maximum clearance for DIMMs installed near the CPU slot is 35.6mm. As for RGB LED lighting, the fans are compatible with Asus Aura Sync, ASRock RGB LED, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light software, and the cooler also includes a basic hardware RGB lighting controller.
The MasterAir MA621P TR4 Edition is available from March 2019.
