Livestreaming is clearly big business-- big enough to attract the attention of Intel, as the company announces a partnership with live streaming software developer Streamlabs in integrated PC platforms optimised for such purposes.

Intel Streamlabs PCsThe partnership involves Intel Core-powered mini-PCs shipping with preloaded Stream OBS, a free piece of Streamlabs software providing streamers with tools to engage with fans and improve monetisation. Streamlabs will quality test each device and grant it a Streamlabs badge as proof of certification. The Intel Quick-Sync-Video encoder is optimised with Streamlabs OBS, and automatically imports optimal settings for bit-rate, audio, resolution and FPS.

“At Intel, we view live streamers as creators, and we are committed to working alongside industry leaders like Streamlabs to build technologies and solutions that power their contributions,” Chipzilla says. “By powering these new PCs, we not only help streamers easily share their creativity, but we enhance the viewer experience to allow them to consume, personalize, and interact with their favorite live streamers."

Making the PCs are a number of OEM partners. Shuttle has a live broadcasting bundle powered by an i5-730U vPro processor, while SimplyNUC offers the 4 x 4-inch EasyCAST machine. On the Zotac sude is the ZBOX MI553B series preloaded with Streamlabs OBS, and Acer plans to present a concept PC built for live streaming at TwitchCon 2018.
