Roccat Puts Own Switch in Vulkan Keyboard

E-mail Print PDF

Computex 2018 has Roccat announce a gaming keyboard featuring an own mechanical switch-- the Vulcan, based on the in-house-developed Titan switches the company says offers "swift and precise" key strokes.

Roccat VulcanThe Titan switch is supposedly designed "from the ground up" for gamer customers, with a tactile 1.8mm actuation point, 3.6mm travel distance and quiet performance. The result, the company claims, is "the most responsive and best-feeling key stroke ever," especially when combined with the ultra-light key caps (50% than standard) found in the Vulcan keyboard.

As for the rest of the keyboard, the Vulcan features an anodised aluminium top plate for a robust and durable structure. "Professional grade mechanical media controls" finish off the package, together with a per-key RGB lighting controlled and synchronised via Roccat AIMO software. Connectivity comes through 1.8m USB cable.

The Vulcan actually comes in 3 flavours-- the Vulcan 80 is aimed at the "no-nonsense gaming purist," since it offers simple blue backlighting. Then there are the Vulcan 100 and 120, with the difference being the inclusion of a removable wrist rest with the 120 model.

The Roccat Vulcan keyboard should be available soon.
