StarTech presents a pair of miniature Thunderbolt 3 docking stations-- the TB3DKM2DP and TB3DKM2HD, both featuring two 4K 60p-capable display outputs, a USB-A header and a gigabit ethernet controller.
The TB3DKM2DP offers x2 DisplayPort 1.2 ports enabled by the TI TPS65983, while the TB3DKM2HD has x2 HDMI 2.0 outputs enabled by the Parade PS176 controller. The docks also include x1 USB 3.0 connector driven via ASMedia ASM1042A and a a GbE header controlled by the Intel WGI210AT chip.
The two docks cannot charge notebooks, and need use an extra TB3 port for charging. Being based on Intel Alpin Ridge controllers the docks are only compatible with TB3 host ports, and cannot fall back for USB-C hosts.
