Logitech announces the G560 PC speaker system and G513 mechanical keyboard-- a pair of peripherals aimed at gamer customers featuring "intelligent" Lightsync RGB lighting technology.

Logitech LightsyncAccording to the company, Lightsync automatically synchronises the lighting (thus the name) with a number of popular games, blasting lights to match in-game explosions, approaching enemies, damage taken, healing received, new worlds visited and more. Current games with Lightsync support include  Battlefield 1, Civilisation VI, Counter Strike: GO, Discord, Dota 2, Final Fantasy XIV Stormblood, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto V, Killing Floor 2, Metronomicon, Tom Clancy’s: The Division and Total War: Warhammer II.

The G560 is the first gaming speaker system in the Logitech G range. As a 2.1 system it consists of one large subwoofers and two satellites featuring the aforementioned LED lighting on the front and back. The rear LEDs react to bass, while the front LEDs react to mid- and high-frequency sounds. Customers can also set the lighting as an audio visualiser while listening to music, and LED support comes through proprietry D-sub-like cables.

The speakers connect to PCs via either 3.5mm jack, USB or Bluetooth 4.1, and are compatible with Windows 7/8/10 and Mac OS X machines. Total output clocks at 120W, and DTS:X Ultra surround sound support provides positional audio.

Meanwhile the G513 is a mechanical keyboard with a brushed aluminium design. It carries either Romer-G Tactile (discernable) or Romer-G Linear (smooth) switches, and includes a leatherette palm rest and USB 2.0 pass-through. The RGB lighting is compatible with Lightsync, but lacks the audio visualiser capability.

Both G560 speaker system and G513 keyboard hit store shelves from April 2018.
