SanDisk says the Extreme PRO SSD is a drive ideal for gamers, enthusiasts and media professionals, since read speeds of up to 550MB/sec and write speeds of up to 520MB/s make it ideal for graphics-intensive applications.

In fact, SanDisk is so confident in the drive that it even offers a 10-year limited warranty.
According to SanDisk random read/write speeds clock at 100000 and 90000 IOPS, with nCache Pro two-tiered caching technology optimising speed and endurance for heavy workloads.
The package also includes a SanDisk SSD Dashboard Windows application providing performance monitoring, firmware updates, manual or scheduled TRIM and other such functionality.
The Extreme PRO ships from June 2014 in the 2.5-inch form factor in 240, 480 and 960GB capacities.
