Das Keyboard Gets Media Controls

E-mail Print PDF

Das KeyboardGerman keyboard maker Das Keyboard launches the 4th version of the typing device sharing its name-- the Das Keyboard 4, now with an anodised aluminium top panel, dedicated media controls and an hifi-style volume control knob.

It carries Cherry MX mechanical switches for improved tactile response and satisfyingly clicky key presses, as well as an extra long 2m cord and a magnetic foot-bar holding the it up at a "perfect" 4-degree angle.

One can even remove the footbar for use as a ruler. Or so Das Keyboard suggests, at any rate. In addition the keyboard acts a 2-port USB 3.0 hub and supports n-key rollover (NKRO) over USB.

The Das Keyboard 4 is available in two versions-- Professional (with printed keycaps) and Ultimate (with blank keys "for bad-ass typists and gaming enthusiasts")-- in German, Nordic and UK layouts.
