Customers demanding an iDevice game controller accessory now get not one, but two options-- Logitech launches the PowerShell Controller + Battery, and Moga reveals the Ace Power for iOS 7.

Both devices are fairly similar, being shell-style gamepad accessories designed to fit iOS 7 iPhones and iPods. Once connected via Bluetooth the two controllers replace the use of on-screen virtual buttons with physical counterparts, including d-pads, 4 face buttons and shoulder triggers.

The Logitech option is a hefty number featuring a single d-pad and a built-in 1500mAh battery. Vents provide access to phone features such as volume control and camera, and a 3.5mm headphone adapter allows for plugged-in sound.

Construction is in plastic, with a slim profile and a "form-fitted" grip.

The iPad stylus arena gets another contender-- app developers FiftyThree reveal the Pencil, a chunky stylus promising innovative palm rejection, an digital eraser on one end and a long-lasting battery.

Modeled after carpenters' pencils and available in wood or brushed aluminium, the Pencil connects to iPads via Bluetooth by touching the screen with the tip, a simple setup FiftyThree calls "Kiss-to-Pair."

Once connected, the Pencil ensures stray palms do not count as touchscreen input, while flipping to the back provides a built-in eraser. It also provides a Blend function the Paper app making use of user's other hand.

Mad Catz believes customers playing on mobile devices deserve a proper keyboard-- specifically the S.T.R.I.K.E.M., a Bluetooth LE number designed for use with portable devices, including Mad Catz's own M.O.J.O. micro console.

The keyboard features a portable design and NFC connectivity for quicker pairing with compatible devices. Powering all is a rechargeable lithium polymer battery.

The backlit keys include micro P.U.L.S.E. scissor keys (for "crisp actuation with a tactile click response"), an Optical Finger Navigation (OFN) mouse sensor with dedicated mouse buttons and dedicated media buttons complete with volume scroll wheel.

Customers can even store multiple macro commands via on board memory.

One can usually rely on Logitech for new iDevice accessories, and since the iPad Air is soon available the company reveals 4 protective and keyboard products designed to "perfectly complement" the thinner and lighter tablet.

The accessories in question are the FabricSkin Keyboard Folio, the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, Ultrathin Keyboard Folio and Folio Protective Case.

All three keyboard products feature Bluetooth connectivity and "maximised" key sizes. The FabricSkin and Ultrathin keyboard folios are water-repellent, promise battery lives of up to 30 days (when used around 2 hours daily), feature a kickstand to prop iPads up.

The FabricSkin keyboard is similar to Microsoft's TouchCovers, with keys built into the fabric surface, while the Ultrathin folio is the more traditional, pressable option.
