The Magic Leap virtual/augmented reality headset is still to see commercial release, yet it is already set to receive accessories via partnership with Sennheiser to help "explore and enhance spatial audio accessory solutions."

Magic Leap One"As we enter a new era of spatial computing, and the technology gains traction with leading content creators, we are thrilled to bring our AMBEO spatial audio expertise to help drive forward this emerging field, while working closely with the creative community," Sennheiser says.

The partnership has Sennheiser join "Works with Magic Leap," a certification program ensuring accessories and tools work as they should with the headset. The first Magic Leap headset out in the wild, the One Creator Edition, has built-in audio but it also features a 3.5mm jack for users to add own, possibly better, headphones.

Sennheiser adds it will have more to show at the first LEAP conference coming next month. The One Creator Edition headset is available now, if in very limited numbers shipping to creators in the US.
