Another day, another unique gadget from the Land of the Rising Sun-- the Panasonic MS-DS100 shoe deodoriser, equipped with "nanoe X" able to "remove unpleasant shoe odours in a simple way."

Shoe DeodoriserAccording to the company, one of the most common reasons behind smelly shoes is isovaleric acid, the result of the combination of foot sweat and bacteria. Enter "nanoe X," a Panasonic technology able to produce hydroxyl (OH) radicals to bring an end to isovaleric acid in the shoes, thus eliminating the odours.

To use the MS-DS100, one simply needs to place the bottom nodes of the device in the shoes, before switching it on. The device blasts the aforementioned radicals from 6 outlets to every corner of the shoe, removing odours from "the heel to the toe." It offers 2 operation modes, normal (runs for 5 hours) and long (7 hours), and the device runs either via mobile battery or plugged into the mains.

The MS-DS100 promises low power consumption, and ships complete with carry case. However, as one might imagine, it is exclusive to Panasonic's home Japan, where it hits store shelves from September 2018.
