IFA 2019 has Seagate launch the One Touch SSD and One Touch SSD Special Edition, portable SSDs wrapped in fabric with a "cosy, textured feel" in either black or white or, in case of the Special Edition, camo patterns.
“We have more ways than ever to instantaneously consume content, driving the need to create, distribute and manage data efficiently,” Seagate says. “Easily accessible, fast, and reliable digital storage is more important than ever, and our new One Touch SSDs deliver style, portability and effortless performance.”
The OneTouch SSDs come in 500GB and 1TB capacities, both offering the same specifications. Thus, performance reaches up to 400MB/s for sequential read and write, while connectivity comes to USB 3.0 rather than USB-C. Then again the drives are small enough to fit in the pocket, and include the Seagate Toolkit software with the Sync Plus backup utility and a braided USB 3.0 cable.
Seagate adds the OneTouch SSDs should reach retailers on October 2019.
