EKWB Launches EK-Vardar EVO Fans

EK Water Blocks launches a range of EK-Vardar EVO fans featuring start-stop functionality, adding what the company claims is a "true 0dB experience."

EK EVO FansThe extended range PWM fans are available in 120 and 140mm sizes, and promise not only a quieter environment but also prevent dust build-up in idling PCs, extending fan lifespans. To determine when to stop spinning the fans have a PWM curve set so if the PWM duty cycle is below 25-30% PWM (depending on motherboard model) the fan simply stops spinning.

In turn, if the PWM duty cycle is raised by the fan control software the fan starts spinning once again. The fans are built for liquid cooling systems (namely radiator cooling), and EK says the EK-Vardar EVO family should perform well in high-performance air coolers or as case fans for restrictive cases with dust filters.

The fans feature a high-static pressure/low noise profile with a 7-blade fan design, high-quality motor and bearing assembly with 50000 hour life span (MTBF). The fan casing is sealed-edge to avoid hydraulic losses, while the design is "timeless," coming in either single (all black or all white) or two-tone (black with gray blades) colours to match any liquid cooling system.

The EK-Vardar EVO fans are available now.
