HP presents the 2nd generation of Sprout all-in-one PC at CES 2017-- the Sprout Pro G2, featuring a ultrawide 20-point capacitive "Touch Mat" display aimed at more than just the creative segment.

Sprout ProIf one needs a refresher, the Sprout is a "blended reality" PC designed mainly for creative professionals. It looks like a regular AiO PC, if one with projector protruding from the main display. The projector has multiple uses, since it not only projects the aforementioned Touch Mat surface, it also acts as a scanner for both 2D and 3D objects.

The upgraded Sprout Pro G2 has a larger 23.8-inch display (up from 23-inch in the original), while the Touch Mat measures 21.3-inch. It comes in a fancy black paintjob and is powered by a 2.9GHz Intel Core i7-7700T CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M mobile GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 memory, 16GB of 2400MHz DDR4 RAM and either 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD.

A change to Windows 10 as CPU promises better interaction and streamlined access to the upgraded Orbit 3D-sensing camera, and HP adds an active stylus for pressure-sensitive digital inking.

The Sprout Pro G2 should be available to commercial customers in select territories from March 2017.
