Like the previous model, the UP2720Q is primarily aimed at professionals working in the creative segment, such as photographers and designers. It offers a 10-bit IPS panel featuring 3840 x 2160 resolution, and is factory calibrated to Delta <2 accuracy to be ready to work out of the box, and includes a light shielding hood.

Brightness clocks at 250 nits, with a 1300:1 contrast ratio, 6ms GtG response time and 178-degree viewing angles. The panel can display 1.07 billion colors with 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB colour gamut, 98% of DCI-P3 and 80% of BT.2020, and can display two colour gamuts simultaneously via Picture-by-Picture mode.

The built-in colorimeter allows users to tweak colours using CalMAN software, as well as make for easier recalibration. Connectivity comes through x1 DisplayPort 1.4, x2 HDMI 2.0 and x1 Thunderbolt 3 ports. An additional Thunderbolt 3 port allows daisychaining with compatible devices, and can supply the host PC with up to 90W of power. The included stand allows height, tilt and swivel adjustments, as well as use in portrait mode.

The PremierColor Monitor UP2720Q ships on January 2020.
