Acer launches a pair of monitors aimed at gamer customers-- the XZ271U and XZ321QU, both featuring HDR10 curved VA panels with 2560 x 1440 resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 1ms MPRT response time and AMD FreeSync.

Acer monitorsThe two monitors are identical, other than the XZ271U being a 27-inch model with 250 nits max brightness while the XZ321QU is 32-inch and offers 300 nits brightness. Both have a 16:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate and cover 85% of NTSC colour space, meaning they (technically) reproduce over 100% of sRGB colour gamut. AMD FreeSync support covers Low Frame Rate (LFC) capability, while a Black Boost feature automatically adjust the brightness of dark game scenes, making it easier to find opponents in the dark.

On the connectivity side the monitors offer x1 DisplayPort 1.2, x1 mini DisplayPort 1.2 and x2 HDMI 2.0 ports, with support for PiP and PbP for two devices. Audio is also included through two 7W stereo speakers and a headphone jack. The monitors sit on stands similar to those of the Acer Predator range, with -5 to 25 degree tilt, +/- 25 degree swivel and height adjustment up to 120mm.

The XZ271U and XZ321QU should start shipping to Europe soon.
