LG Previews CES 2016 Monitors, Laptop

LG presents the monitors it will showcase at CES 2016, including 21:9 UltraWide and 4K gaming models, as well as the gram 15-- a 15.6-inch laptop the company says is "barely larger" than a conventional 14-inch laptop.

LG CES monitorsOne setup seen at the show features the 34-inch 21:9 Curved UltraWide (model 34UC98), a 3440x1440 monitor complete with image-enhancing IPS technology designed to cater for both digital media professionals and gamers with a "well-rounded multimedia experience). Gamers wanting monitors with AMD FreeSync technology get the 34UC88 21:9 Curved UltraWide and the 27UD68 UHD/4K displays, while the 24UM88 21:9 UltraWide monitor aims at digital professionals with Thunderbolt 2 compatibilty and a wider field of view.

Customers wanting a future-proof display might be interested in the 27UD88, a 27-inch 4K monitor with a USB-C port, as well as colour presets including the Rec. 709 and SMPTE-C broadcasting standards. Those looking for aesthetics get the 24MP88, an Infinity Display model with a "virtually invisible" display and ArcLine stand.

As for the gram 15 (model 15Z960), LG says the laptop weighs all of 980g despite being a 15.6-inch device. It also features 6th gen Intel Core processors and Windows 10, making it a balance of productivity and mobility.
