Acer Adds to Predator XB1 Series

Acer launches a pair of 27-inch XBI series gaming monitors-- the 2560x1440 resolution Predator XB271HU and 2840x2160 XB271HK, both featuring "a sleek and aggressive black design with sharp angles and bold red accents."

Acer monitorThe two monitors have Nvidia G-Sync technology for tear- and stutter-free gaming experiences, as well as ergonomic stands users can tilt from -5 to 35 degrees, swivel from +/-30 degrees, pivot and height adjustment up to 15cm. Users can also release the monitors from the stands for mounting on VESA mounts.

Connectivity includes HDMI, DisplayPort v1.2 and USB 3.0. Dynamic audio is included with two 2W stereo speakers.

The WQHD (2560x1440) XB271HU has an edge-to-edge Zero-Frame design and an IPS panel supporting the entire sRGB colour gamut. Predator EyeProtect covers flicker-free, low blue light and low dimming technologies, while Acer GameView provides various colour profiles for users wanting to adjust dark areas and screen refresh rates.

Meanwhile the XB271HK offers a 4K/UHD (3840x2160) resolution panel with 300cd/m2 brightness, 1.07 billion colours and 100% sRGB colour accuracy. The IPS panel has 4ms response time and 178-degree viewing angles, together with the aforementioned Predator EyProtect and AcerGameView technologies.

The Two Acer Predators are available from November 2015.
