Samsung announces a pair of tablets and a camera as its device ranks grow increasingly huge-- the ATIV Q tablet-notebook hybrid, the ATIV Tab 3 Windows 8 tablet and the Galaxy NX internet-enabled camera.
The more interesting of the lot is the ATIV Q, a "fully convertible device" offering 4 different configuration (laptop, tablet and 2 in-between modes) running on either Windows 7 or Android Jelly Bean (4.2.2).
It features a 13.3-inch 3200x1800 resolution (275ppi) display, an Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB SSD storage, all inside a case weighing 1.29kg and 13.9mm thick.
Samsung claims the battery powers up to 9 hours of usage.
Meanwhile the ATIV Tab 3 is the thinnest Windows 8 tablet around, at least according to Samsung. It is 8.2mm thick, weighs 550g, carries an Intel Atom processor and has a battery promising 10 hours of power.
Digital cameras also get some attention with the Galaxy NX-- essentially a "Galaxy" addition to Samsung NX camera portfolio. Like the Galaxy Camera it runs on Android Jelly Bean, features 3G/4G LTE conectivity and has a 4.8-inch touchscreen on the back.
However unlike the Galaxy Camera it uses NX system interchangeable lenses and a 20MP sensor, making it suitable for customers with a more photographic slant.
Samsung gives no word when the two ATIV tablets or the Galaxy NX will hit the market.
