Huawei brand Honor announces a 16-inch take on the MacBook-style notebook-- the MagicBook Pro, a machine in a sleek silver aluminium chassis featuring an edge-to-edge display and a quad-core Intel processor.

Aaimed at customers wanting a high performance notebook, the MagicBook Pro carries an Intel quad-core Core i5/i7 Whiskey Lake processor together with an Nvidia GeForce MX250 discrete graphics chip with 2GB GDDR5 RAM. Also included are 8/16GB RAM and a 512GB/1TB SSD storage. In total the laptop weighs 1.7kg and is 16.9mm thick, and includes a cooling system consisting of two thick heatpipes and two fans.

Further features include a pop-up webcam complete with a dedicated key inside the full-size keyboard and a typical set of ports, namely x1 USB-C, x3 USB-A and x1 HDMI, plus a 3.5mm audio jack. A 2x2 wifi controller supports up to 1733Gbps throughput over 160MHz channel, while the battery is a 56Wh number typically found in smaller laptops.

The MagicBook Pro will be available in the near future in Huawei's home China. The company gives no word whether it will ship to Western markets, though.
