Samsung Announces Notebook 7, 7 Force

Samsung announces a pair of notebook offerings-- the Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force, both promising "serious speed and power" within a design more than a little reminiscent of the latest MacBooks.

The Notebook 7 comes in 13- and 15-inch sizes, and features a glass HD display within a durable solid frame with minimal bezels. Internal specifications include an 8th gen Intel Core processor, up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB of SSD storage. The 15-inch model can also carry an Nvidia GeForce MX250 and a spare M.2 slot for further storage.

Further features include 802.11ac wave2 2x2 wifi, 720p HD / dual array mic, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader and a 55Wh battery. The 13-inch model weighs 1.29kg, while the 15-inch option weighs around 1.75kg.

The Notebook 7 Force is similar to the 15-inch non-Force model, but adds Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics, up to 24GB of DDR4 RAM, an extra HDD/SSD install option and an RJ45 LAN port. It is also a bit heavier at 1.9kg and the battery is a bit smaller, with a capacity of 43Wh.

Samsung is still to announce the European availability of the two Notebook models.
