Samsung announces the Chromebook Plus (V2)-- the second generation Chromebook Plus featuring upgrades such as a second camera and a switch from ARM-based processor to an Intel option.

Samsung ChromebookThe Chromebook Plus (V2) keeps the same form factor as the first model, with a hinge allowing users to switch from notebook to tablet mode. The 12.2-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution touchscreen handles pen input via built-in stylus, and Samsung promises "all day" battery life on a single charge. The company increased the number of cameras to 2, with a 1MP front-facing number and a 13MP rear-facing camera usable whenever the device is in tablet mode.

However the biggest upgrade comes in the choice of processor-- the Intel Celeron CPU should be faster than the previous ARM chip, even if it is not as powerful as the Intel Core M3 chip found inside the 2017 Chromebook Pro. Meanwhile built-in storage clocks at 32GB, with the option to add up to 400GB via microSD card slot.

The Chromebook Plus (V2) is available from June 2018.
