Razer Updates Blade Laptop

Razer presents the next model in the Blade gaming laptop range-- the Blade 15, an update on the Razer 14 the company claims is "the world's smallest 15.6-inch gaming laptop."

Razer BladeThe Blade 15 features a chassis CNC milled out of a single block of aluminium. It measures 355 x 235 x 16.8mm, weighs around 2kg (depending on configuration) and carries a range of specifications, including 8th Gen an Intel Core i7-8750H (6C/12T with base 2.2GHz and boost of 4.1GHz) CPU and either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB) GPU.

Further specifications include 16GB of 2667MHz dual-channel system memory and up to 512GB PCIe SSD storage (with support for up to 32GB RAM and 2TB storage). Connectivity comes through Intel Wireless-AC 9260 (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 5, Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), USB 3.1 port x3 (SuperSpeed), Mini DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 audio and video output. An 80Wh Li-Po battery comes installed.

The display has minimal 4.9mm bezels and comes in 3 flavours-- FHD IPS at 60Hz, FHD IPS at 144Hz, and 4K IPS with multitouch at 60Hz. All are factory calibrated and offer 100% sRGB reproduction. Finishing the laptop is a precision glass touchpad and anti-ghosting keyboard with Razer Chroma backlighting.

For laptop users wanting better graphics Razer also has the Razer Core X, a bigger version of the Razer Core V2 external graphics enclosure. The larger design holds up to 3-slot wide desktop graphics cards, and it has a 650W ATX power supply. Connectivity comes through Thunderbolt 3, and it is compatible with all Windows 10 and Mac laptops (not just those from Razer).

The Razer Blade 15 ships from June 2018.
