Huawei uses Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 to launch a laptop-- the MateBook X Pro, a super-slim offering featuring thin bezels with what the company claims is a 91% screen-to-body ratio.

Matebook x proThe MateBook X Pro features a 13.9-inch 3000 x 2000 resolution touchscreen with a Surface-style 3:2 aspect ratio. It is covered in anti-fingerprint coated Gorilla Glass with 260ppi, 100% sRGB gamut, 450 nits maximum brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio. The aforementioned thin bezels do not allow for a webcam, meaning the camera is hidden between the keyboard's F6 and F7 function keys. It pops up at when pressed, and promises visual privacy when not in use.

As for the rest of the laptop, it runs on either an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor or 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8250U processor, with a choice of Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDR5 or Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics. Further specs include 8/16GB RAM, 256/512GB NVMe PCIe SSD, 57.4Wh battery, quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos 3D audio, quad microphone system and Huawei Share wifi transfer system (20Mbps).

Also launched at MWC is an update of MediaPad M5 tablets-- the M5 Pro, available in 8.4- and 10.8inch sizes with a Kirin 960 series processor, 51200mAh or 7500mAh batteries with QuickCharge technology and 2K ClariView displays. The 10.8-inch model also supports stylus input when paired with the Huawei M-Pen and a keyboard accessory via 3-pin connector.
