Acer Presents Tough Chromebook 11 N7

CES 2017 has Acer present a Chrome OS-powered notebook able to take a beating-- the Chromebook 11 N7 is compliant with the US MIL-STD 810G military standard, making it tough as nails.

Chromebook 11 N7According to the company the notebook can withstand up to 60kg of downward force on the top cover and resist falls of up to 1.2m. It also features corners able to take the blunt foce off impacts, while the keyboard is in spill-resistant rubber and can drain up to 0.3 litres of liquid. As a result of such reinforced casing, the notebook weighs around 1.35kg.

Inside such tough casing is an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 resolution display, an Intel Celeron dual-core CPU (1.6 to 2.4GHz TurboBoost), 16 or 32GB of storage, HD webcam, stereo speakers and a 4090mAh battery. Connectivity comes through Bluetooth, wifi, x2 USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader and 3.5mm audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot is included.

The Chromebook 11 N7 ships in EMEA territories from February 2017.
