GoPro Hero4 Session Goes Smaller, Lighter

GoPro launches the Hero4 Session-- the smallest and lightest action camera from the company, one featuring many features from its bigger siblings, including connectivity (via wifi or Bluetooth) with mobile devices.

Hero4 Session

The Hero4 Session comes in the shape of a small black box, and can shoot video at 1080p60, 720p100 or 1440p30, as well as take 8MP photos in single, burst or time-lapse modes. It also features Auto Low Light recording, SuperView wide angles and a stripped-down Protune video editor.

The casing remains ruggedised and waterproof to up to 10m, while dual-microphones promise to reduce wind noise during recording.

A new ball joint buckle mount allows compatibility with existing GoPro mounts and accessories, while Bluetooth and wifi allow connection with either remote control (not included) or GoPro smartphone app. Controls on the camera itself are limited to a single shutter button and small front display.

The GoPro Hero4 Session is available now.
