Control4 announces the Pakedge WA-2200 wave 2 access point with BakPak Lite-- a product the company describes as a means to provide "exceptional performance and reliable wireless connectivity."

The WA-2200 leverages next-generation wireless technology to improve wireless networking performance, thanks to a high-performance chipset promising faster speeds, lower latency and seamless roaming across the wireless network. BakPak cloud configuration allows support for both traditional setup via local UI and remote management and monitoring (RMM), making for faster and easier installation and configuration.

Auto-discovery of additional access points on the network streamlines registration, enabling quick setup for multi-access point systems. On the security side, new requirements ensure customers do not leave the access point with the "default" username and password, while built-in RF scan, device monitoring and analytics fine-tune and monitor the network for peak performance.

The WA-2200 is shipping now in 2 variants-- either a regular ceiling-mount model or the WA-2200C in-ceiling mount option.
