Accessory maker Hyper takes to Kickstarter to present a combination of USB-C hub and wireless charger-- the clunkily named HyperDrive USB-C Hub + 7.5W Qi Wireless charger iPhone Stand.

Clearly aimed at owners of both the latest MacBooks and iPhones, the HyperDrive offers 8 ports, namely HDMI, ethernet, microSD, SD, x3 USB-A and USB-C Power Delivery. Also built into the compact device is a wireless charging stand able to handle all 4 Qi wireless standards (1.5W, 5W, 10W and 15W).

The wireless charger stands either flat or up via "high quality" hinges, and allows iPhone use in both landscape or portrait mode. Charging comes through 3 coils to ensure no wireless charging blind spots. Meanwhile the included USB-C cable is removable to allow replacement with a longer option.

As mentioned earlier the HyperDrive is currently available on a preorder basis on Kickstarter, where it already made over 400% of an initial $100000 pledge goal. Shipments are expected to start from May 2018.
