Nubia Puts Smartphone on the Wrists

While smartwatches appear to be moving away from being mere wrist-worn smartphones, ZTE spinoff Nubia goes in the opposite direction with the Nubia-a, a flexible screen device the company describes as a "wearable smartphone."

The Nubia-a looks like one of those delightful oddities the darker corners of IFA tend to house, even if it is the brainchild of a proven smartphone maker. Directly inspired by science fiction movie props, it claims to put all smartphone functions on the wrist, thanks to a proprietary Flex display wrapped halfway around a chunky wristband.

According to the company, one of the most common reasons behind smelly shoes is isovaleric acid, the result of the combination of foot sweat and bacteria. Enter "nanoe X," a Panasonic technology able to produce hydroxyl (OH) radicals to bring an end to isovaleric acid in the shoes, thus eliminating the odours.

A Smaller Version of the Elgato Stream Deck

Corsair-owned Elgato Gaming announces a smaller, lower cost version of the Stream Deck-- the self-explanatory Stream Deck Mini is, essentially, a cut down take on the popular game video mixer/switcher.

The Stream Deck Mini does just about everything its larger sibling does, only in a form factor ideal for smaller workspaces. It also has a triangular, propped up case, meaning no case is required. The only difference lies in the number of buttons, since while the original Stream Deck has 15 customisable OLED keys, the Stream Deck Mini has 6.
