LG presents the monitors it will showcase at CES 2016, including 21:9 UltraWide and 4K gaming models, as well as the gram 15-- a 15.6-inch laptop the company says is "barely larger" than a conventional 14-inch laptop.

One setup seen at the show features the 34-inch 21:9 Curved UltraWide (model 34UC98), a 3440x1440 monitor complete with image-enhancing IPS technology designed to cater for both digital media professionals and gamers with a "well-rounded multimedia experience). Gamers wanting monitors with AMD FreeSync technology get the 34UC88 21:9 Curved UltraWide and the 27UD68 UHD/4K displays, while the 24UM88 21:9 UltraWide monitor aims at digital professionals with Thunderbolt 2 compatibilty and a wider field of view.

Asus announces the Designo MX25AQ-- a 25-inch ultra-slim frameless monitor featuring WQHD (2560x1440) resolution the company describes as nothing less than "a true work of art."

The monitor has a bezel just 1mm thick around a 1440p IPS panel. It offers 100% sRGB colour range with a 5ms response time and 75Hz refresh rate, while connectivity comes through DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2, HDMI 3 and MHL2.0/HDMI ports. Audio is also included via 3.5mm headphone jack and a pair of 25mm 3W speakers.

Acer launches a pair of 27-inch XBI series gaming monitors-- the 2560x1440 resolution Predator XB271HU and 2840x2160 XB271HK, both featuring "a sleek and aggressive black design with sharp angles and bold red accents."

The two monitors have Nvidia G-Sync technology for tear- and stutter-free gaming experiences, as well as ergonomic stands users can tilt from -5 to 35 degrees, swivel from +/-30 degrees, pivot and height adjustment up to 15cm. Users can also release the monitors from the stands for mounting on VESA mounts.

Connectivity includes HDMI, DisplayPort v1.2 and USB 3.0. Dynamic audio is included with two 2W stereo speakers.

Samsung promises to de-clutter customers' desks with the SE370-- a monitor with an integrated Qi wireless charger for mobile devices ideal for both professionals and consumers.

Available in 23.6- and 27-inch sizes, the SE370 features a Plane-to-Line-Switching (PLS) panel promising 178-degree viewing angles, 4ms response time and "excellent" picture quality. It also supports AMD FreeSync technology to synchronise refresh rates with graphics card frame rates for reduced input latency and stutter.

The charger is built into the monitor stand, with LEDs showing charging status.
