Turtle Beach launches a pair of headsets aimed at gamer customers at E3 2018-- the Stealth 300 and Recon 200, both wired (via 3.5mm jack) devices described as "perfectly suited" for games such as Fortnite.

E3 2018 has 8bitdo release a number of retro-style wireless game controllers, including one small enough to fit on a keychain, making it the perfect stocking filler for customers come the holiday season.

Dubbed the Zero 2, the tiny controller has all buttons required to play any modern game. It even has motion controls, allowing use with the Nintendo Switch. Meanwhile customers wanting something bigger but with the same retro stylings get the NES30 Pro 2, an update on 2017's N30 Pro featuring new function buttons, vibration and motion controls.

Roccat Puts Own Switch in Vulkan Keyboard

Computex 2018 has Roccat announce a gaming keyboard featuring an own mechanical switch-- the Vulcan, based on the in-house-developed Titan switches the company says offers "swift and precise" key strokes.

The Titan switch is supposedly designed "from the ground up" for gamer customers, with a tactile 1.8mm actuation point, 3.6mm travel distance and quiet performance. The result, the company claims, is "the most responsive and best-feeling key stroke ever," especially when combined with the ultra-light key caps (50% than standard) found in the Vulcan keyboard.

StarTech presents a pair of miniature Thunderbolt 3 docking stations-- the TB3DKM2DP and TB3DKM2HD, both featuring two 4K 60p-capable display outputs, a USB-A header and a gigabit ethernet controller.

The TB3DKM2DP offers x2 DisplayPort 1.2 ports enabled by the TI TPS65983, while the TB3DKM2HD has x2 HDMI 2.0 outputs enabled by the Parade PS176 controller. The docks also include x1 USB 3.0 connector driven via ASMedia ASM1042A and a a GbE header controlled by the Intel WGI210AT chip.

People with disabilities sometimes resort to creatively repurposing hardware or even homebrew solutions in order to enjoy games. The Xbox Adaptive Controller sets to bring such solutions within a single hub. The device pairs with Xbox consoles or Windows 10 PCs via Bluetooth and has 19 3.5mm jacks on the back, allowing one to connect a different device or accessory to control each button on the Xbox gamepad.

Logitech announces the G305-- an entry-level gaming mouse featuring properietary Lightspeed wireless technology and a 12000 DPI HERO sensor for responsive and lag-free operation.

While aimed at gamer customers, the G305 is a fairly basic device with 6 programmable buttons (counting left click, right click and scroll wheel) and LED lighting. However the technologies inside are fairly sophisticated. Lightspeed connectivity promises to reduce the wireless receiver polling rate to 1ms, increase signal strength and even use proprietary frequency hopping mechanism to use the strongest interference-free channel.

US-Chinese startup EcoFlow presents an interesting take on the power pack-- the River Bank, a battery solution with a stackable design, allowing one to add more power or ports as they require.

The main River Bank module is a 99Wh battery with x4 Quick Charge USB ports (x2 USB-A, x2 USB-C) and a 10W Qi surface able to wirelessly charge up to x5 devices simultaneously. According to the company it has enough power to charge a laptop twice or a phone 9-15 times. Users can add even more power through addition of one of two submodules, one featuring a car jump-starter and the other an AC jack.

Customers wanting to monitor the temperature of their water cooling setups get a pair of options from Bykski-- the B-TME-SE-AL and B-VGA-SC-A, two sensors showing real-time information on a built-in display.

Users simply need to attach the sensors inline to the water cooling loop for instant water loop fluid temperature monitoring. The B-TME-SE-AL is designed for use on main loop tubing, and features an OLED display showing real-time temperature information. To read said temperature it uses a thermistor in the inlet screw, and temperatures are presented as either a progress bar or curve display. Construction is in aircraft-grade aluminium, and it comes in black and grey colours.
