Wireless Charging Via Nomad Base Station Pro

Nomad follows a number of other companies to fill the void following the failure of the Apple AirPower wireless charger with the Base Station Pro, a device able to simultaneously charge three different devices.

The AirPower failed to make to the market after Apple admitted it could manage to achieve its typical "high standards" for the project. Nomad says this is not the case with the Base Station Pro, since it also charge devices without need for exact placement on the pad. To do so it uses an 18-coil matrix and Aira FreePower wireless charging technology to create a single large wireless charging surface with algorithms able to figure out where the devices being charged are.

100 Hour Battery Life for Sennheiser GSP 370 Headset

Sennheiser claims the GSP 370 wireless gaming headset is the first to feature 100 hours of battery life, the result of both low power consumption and, of course, a long-lasting battery.

In fact, the company says a customer using the headset for 6 hours per week only needs to charge the GSP 370 once every 4 months, and since it can be used while recharging no gaming time gets interrupted. The headset is PC, Macs and PS4 compatible, and promises audio with near-zero delay as well as Sennheiser audio quality. The microphone features noise canceling, and users can mute it by simply lifting the boom arm.

Corsair announces the Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE, a pair of headsets the company claims bridge the gap between gaming and hi-fi headphones with 50mm neodymium drivers pushing audio in the 20Hz-40000Hz frequency range.

Available in black, white or gunmetal (SE only), the Virtuoso headsets include memory phone on both the earpads and headband for all-day, all-night use. Connectivity comes through either Slipstream wireless technology offering up to 12m range, USB for 24-bit/96kHz audio and immersive 7.1 surround sound, or 3.5mm audio jack for the compatibility with the widest range of devices.

Belkin takes to SpiceWorld 2019 to announce a pair of Thunderbolt 3 docks-- the Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock and the Thunderbolt 3 Plus Dock, both aimed at corporate office and coworking spaces making use of the "desk hoteling" concept.

The idea has unassigned, OS-agnostic desks allowing employees to work wherever and whenever they want, without interrupting productivity. Both docks are compatible with USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 devices, with the Pro Dock offering more ports than the Plus, being intended at more demand work environments.

MSI Adds Clutch Gaming Mouse, Immerse Headset

MSI announces additions to the Clutch gaming mouse series and the Immerse headset family-- the Clutch GM30 mouse with a "gaming-grade" optical sensor and the Immerse GH50 gaming headset with virtual 7.1 surround sound and vibration system.

The Clutch GM30 is a medium-size rodent with a symmetrical design. It has "Dragon Scale" grips on the side to improve control, while the sensor is a PixArt PAW3327 optical number with resolution reaching up to 6200 DPI. Customers can adjust the resolution using either a dedicated button on the top of the mouse or MSI Dragon Center software.

The mouse has two main buttons featuring Omron micro-switches with a lifespan of 20 million clicks and, being a piece of gaming hardware, RGB lighting. It comes with 8 pre-defined effects, and can be controlled with Dragon Center software to sync lighting with other MSI or 3rd party products.

Smartphone case specialist OtterBox takes on wireless charging with OtterSpot-- a modular wireless charging system consisting of stackable, portable pucks, with each puck adding a 5000mAh capacity battery with an own Qi charging coil.

The OtterSpot package consists of a charging base and one wireless charging battery. The 36W base can charge a stack of three batteries with a phone on top or up to four batteries, if with diminished charging speeds. Once charged, the batteries can be used with any other Qi-enabled device, and are capable of wireless charging speeds of up to 10W. In addition, a USB-C port allows for wired charging.

Logitech Adds to G Range Keyboards

Logitech announces a pair of keyboard additions to the G gaming hardware range-- the wireless G915 Lightspeed and the wired G815 Lightsync, both featuring low-profile GL switches in a sleek aluminium case.

GL switches come in 3 variants, linear, tacticle and clicky, or the equivalent of the Cherry MX Red, Brown and Blue switches. Logitech claims they are 50% the height of standard mechnical switches and offer 25% faster presses, making for a more comfortable typing experience.

The G915 features proprietary 2.4GHz wireless Lightspeed technology via companion dongle to pair with the PC. Bluetooth connectivity is also available. The company says battery life clocks at just 12 days if one has the RGB lighting on, but it shoots up to 135 days with the lighting off, as based on the assumption of 8 hours of use a day.
