Asus adds to the ZenBook notebook line with the 13-inch UX430 and 15.6-inch UX530-- a duo described by the company as the thinnest ZenBook models packing discrete graphics.

Asus ZenbookThe UX430 packs a 14-inch display inside a 13-inch chassis, the result of ultra-narrow 7.18mm screen bezels making an 80% screen to body ratio. The notebook is 15.9mm thick, weighs 1.25kg and carries up to a 7th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD storage and Nvidia GeForce 940MX discrete graphics. Connectivity comes through x1 USB 3.1 port, x1 USB 2.0, x1 micro HDMI, SD card slot and audio I/O.

A 50Wh lithium-polymer battery promises up to 9 hours of use on a single charge, and the body features a spun-metal finish in Quartz Grey, Shimmer Gold, Royal Blue and Rose Gold.

Meanwhile the UX530 is the larger option, and as such it fits a full-size HDMI port and a more powerful GeForce GTX 950 GPU together with the 15.6-inch display. It is 16.9mm thick, weighs 1.63kg and comes in Royal Blue or Quartz Grey.

The two ZenBook models hit European markets on Q2 2017.
