Graphics tablet maker Wacom announces makes a return to Windows-powered devices with MobileStudio Pro-- a line of standalone tablets featuring a more accurate Pro Pen 2 stylus.

MobileStudio PRoAvailable in 13.3- and 15.6-inch sizes, MobileStudio Pro tablets come in 6 configurations packing different (if unspecified) Intel processors, storage ranging from 64 to 512GB and, in the case of the larger models, Nvidia Quadro graphics and an Intel RealSense camera. All include the Pro Pen 2, a stylus Wacom says offers four times the accuracy and pressure sensitivity of the previous version.

The 13.3-inch version has an IPS WQHD display covering 96% of the Adobe RGB gamut, while the 15.6-inch version has an IPS UHD display handling 94% of Adobe RGB. As well as the stylus control comes through six hardware keys and a Touch Ring, while Wacom Link allows users to connect the devices as pen displays with Windows or Mac PCs.

The tablets (or "mobile pen computers," as Wacom insists) run all Windows 10 software, such as the desktop version of Adobe Creative Cloud and other pro design applications.

"Unlike most general-purpose mobile tablets created for the mass market, Wacom's MobileStudio Pro was designed specifically for the needs of the creative professional and how they work," the company adds. "Our long-standing relationship with the professional creative community enabled us to develop a game-changing solution for the creative market that exceeds customer expectations and provides the best, most natural and precise creative experience imaginable."

MobileStudio Pro tablets should hit the market on November 2016.
