Motorola Updates Moto Lineup

Lenovo-owned Motorola launches the next generation of the popular Moto smartphone lineup with an updated version of the low-cost Moto G and a pair of Moto X models, the Moto X Play and the flagship Moto X Style.

Moto familyThe 3rd generation Moto G is a 5-inch handset with decent specifications, including a quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, 2470mAh battery 1 or 2GB RAM and either 8 or 16GB of storage (expandable via microSD slot). Like all Moto smartphones the OS of choice is Android, while the rear-facing camera has a 13MP sensor and dual-LED flash.

The new Moto G is also tough, as it has a Gorilla Glass display and IPX7-rated casing for protection against splashes.

As mentioned earlier the Moto X has 2 versions-- the Moto X Play and X Style. The X Play is the one with the most powerful battery (3630mAh), together with a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 resolution display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB storage and 21MP front-/5MP rear-facing cameras.

Meanwhile the Moto X Style is the bigger option, with a 5.7-inch 1440x2560 resolution display, 3000mAh battery, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU, 32/64GB storage and 3GB RAM.

All the above mentioned phones are also customisable with a variety of back cover colours and materials through the Moto Maker website.

The Moto G and Moto X Play are available in European markets from August 2015, while the Moto X Style hits the market by September 2015.
